To start with the staff at Whiskeytown Lake or absolutely wonderful. A special Thanks goes out to Ranger Frank who assisted our young granddaughter 6 years old and becoming a junior Ranger. Absolutely beautiful trails with wooden bridges Crossing creeks gorgeous nature. Granddaughter watch dear walk up to the window in the RV at our RV camp spot. Walk Drive take a trail all directions head down to Brandy Beach beautiful sand nice quiet Cove.
Find the right time of year and the right time of day and Brandy Creek can be a special treat. A real get away from town for a few hours of peace. Avoid the public beach, it's a zoo. I suggest early morning ventures, late spring to early fall.
Minimal but great for RV and fishing
We called and they said nothing about no tent camping. So just letting everyone know you cannot camp here unless you have an RV or Trailer. Found this out the hard way (driving all day and now we have no where to go).
No fire pits. It's camping in a parking lot. However, there was an incredible trail nearby that follows a river and to the lake... Gorgeous! Nice trail, ok camping.
